Over the last few years we have done a bit of showing with our poultry, we feel it is important to show our birds as it proves to us that what we are breeding is to the right quality ecpecially with our non standard colours of lavender and chocolate as not many of these are showed very often.
In 2010 we showed one of our black Orpington hens at the four counties show and we managed to get 1ST place in the Orpington class and best Orpington!
In 2011 we showed two of our chocolate Orpington hens at the national show and were placed 3RD! We also showed two of our chocolate hens and one of our chocolate cockerels at the federation show and was placed 1ST AND 3RD with our hens and we got 4TH with our cockerel, for a colour which we have only transferred from bantam to large fowl in three years this really does prove how well we have done to get them to show standard within such a short amount of time.
In 2009 we showed one of our buff orpington cockerels at the national show and we managed to get 6TH place, unfortunately we do not breed the buff orpington colour anymore but are still a lovely colour!
