Our livestock is always changing so please email via the contact us page if you are interested and we will let you know about stud cockerels, pairs or trios available. Please note livestock is collection only or meeting at shows/sales throughout the year. We will use a courier if required as long as the buyer of the bird organises this.
We have David pownall bloodlines and we also have a Chirpy chick's hen to cross and improve the quality of our birds. These are huge birds and were the first colour of orpington to be created by William Cook in 1886. Orpingtons were first bred as utility birds but are now mainly bred for their beauty and temperament. If you have good quality blacks they are extremely useful as you can cross them with many different colours to improve other colour orpingtons. With there red faces standing out against there black beetle green sheen they will be stunning birds to own. In 2010 we showed our black orpington hen at the four counties show and she was placed 1ST and won best Orpington.
