Our livestock is always changing so please email via the contact us page if you are interested and we will let you know about stud cockerels, pairs or trios available. Please note livestock is collection only or meeting at shows/sales throughout the year. We will use a courier if required as long as the buyer of the bird organises this.
The chocolates originating from Dr Clive Carefoot’s breeding programme of black orpingtons and were then saved from extinction by Rob Boyd and Grant Brereton. So our chocolates were a Rob Boyde bloodline. The chocolate gene is very interesting as this gene is a naturally occurring mutant sex-linked recessive gene, meaning We have crossed them with two top bloodlines of blacks last year to create our own stronger bloodline. All birds used for breeding this year are unrelated so offspring will not disapoint and with their adorable little characters are just irresistible and a pleasure to own.
